How to Hand Piece a Kaleidoscope Star – 2

Part 2 of our little hand piecing movie is ready, and it looks great “full screen.”

Perfect Intersections Every Time!

In only 4 minutes, you will see how you can have perfect intersections by:

  • “circling the intersection”
  • pressing the seam allowances around the center
    (clockwise or counterclockwise)

 Diamonds with 2 inch sides

Thank you very much for the lovely comments on Part 1.

If you have arrived here first, this is what you have been missing:

Monkey says these two little movies show you everything you need to know to start hand piecing stars in only ten minutes (6 + 4)! Just watch! Very simple.

With this new camera setup, you can see what I see when I am hand piecing. There is no “voiceover,” so you don’t need to turn on your speakers, but if you do, you will hear Vadim Chaimovich playing Haydn’s Sonata No. 12 in G Major from MusOpen.

You can also search the blog archives for messages about fussy cutting, hand piecing, or any other topic. There is a Search box above the header.

If you know anyone who would like to have an exciting portable project, please let them know about our little movies.

I am also using this camera setup for machine piecing with Inklingo, so stay tuned! (That means subscribe, eh? Right sidebar.)

Do you know what I would like to be doing right now?

Thank you for visiting.
