A downloadable pattern (9 MB) for use with Inklingo Shape Collection # 1
(See all the shapes on the Shape Collection # 1 CD.) This pattern is suitable for beginners and experienced Inklingoists. There are step-by-step instructions for ironing freezer paper to fabric, printing, cutting the shapes, and stitching star halves together. 
The directions are for coasters, but the tips and technique apply to any size quilt. Chapter 1 of The Inklingo Handbook is available as a download (3 MB) from the link at the bottom of this page. Once you have made the star pattern on the cover with diamonds, you will feel confident with the many variations that use other shapes.
