Hand Piecing Lessons on DVD

Every copy of QD2 includes a 2 hour hand piecing lesson on DVD. It covers every aspect of hand piecing with freezer paper templates. It was filmed by a professional crew in the summer of 2003.

The stitching technique can be used with shapes prepared with Inklingo.

Jane Austen's Writing Table Quilts DVD (2006) is also a hand piecing lesson. The first half (30 minutes) concentrates on continuous stitching (turning a corner at the end of every seam) and the last half focuses on pressing technqiues. These are the two "hot topics" when I teach.

SALE UPDATE I watched the Jane Austen Writing Table Quilt DVD for the first time in about three years and realized that, even though the hand piecing lesson is pre-Inklingo and made for Quilted Diamonds, it is a perfect introduction to hand piecing for quilters who have not hand pieced before because they thought the preparation was too tedious. The close-up stitching and pressing are done on a diamond that is very similar to LeMoyne Star (free collection). This CD/DVD set is an unbelievable value while the sale lasts. Enjoy.
