Why Quilters Love Inklingo Stars
From beginner to professional, we think you will love stars too!
1. Exciting Designs
Several of the designs in 300 Pieced Hexagons are stars. . .
. . . plus some of the 6 inch blocks are stars. . . .
. . . and you can make stars with the shapes in several other shape collections. For example, did you know these stars can be made in several sizes with Storm At Sea shapes?
Inklingo shapes are very versatile. Please don't limit yourself or be misled by the names of the shape collections, okay?
The versatility of the shapes makes it difficult to categorize and cross-reference everything.
Carpenter′s Wheel and other designs are sometimes considered stars too. Many variations can be made with the LeMoyne Star shape collections and the free Diamond-Triangles-Star shape collection too.
Whatever star you are considering, use the Index of Shapes under the Support & Goodies tab on the website to find the shapes.
Follow any pattern or use the time you save to create exciting settings and color combinations.

2. Simple to Decide How Much Fabric
There are diagrams in every shape collection which show how many shapes you can cut from a yard of fabric.
3. Easy to Cut
No measuring. No templates. Use a rotary cutter or scissors. No expensive cutting machines required—and there are stitching lines and matching marks printed on every shape!
There is often a choice of several layouts to use fabric efficiently and to give a choice of straight grain.
4. Sew by Hand or by Machine
Inklingo even makes it possible to combine hand and machine sewing in the same quilt block.
Sew by hand when you need something portable and sew by machine when you are home and have access to a machine.
5. Fussy Cut
Yes, you can Fussy Cut (Fussy Print) with Inklingo. There are videos on YouTube and articles on QuiltingHub.
6. Print scraps and Jelly Rolls
Monkey shows you how to print on Jelly Rolls on the All About Inklingo blog. It is under the Top Ten Tutes tab.
6. Even more reasons!
- Some quilters want to cut with scissors.
- Quilters love the accuracy of perfectly printed shapes without measuring.
- Quilters love having matching marks and stitching lines on every piece, so they can hand piece when they are on the go, and machine piece when they need speed.
- Quilters love the way Inklingo helps them use scraps.
- Quilters love the way Inklingo helps them estimate how much yardage to buy.
Hunter's Star is just one of the classic quilts you can make with Inklingo.
