Hunter Star in Electric Quilt

I apologize for making you wait so long for this report on the new Inklingo  Hunter’s Star/Hunter Star.

There has been a lot going on behind the scenes since we first gave you a sneak peek.

One decision last weekend created more work, but Monkey says it’s worth it. (Easy for him to say.)

Good News!

In addition to the three new shape collections, there will be a Hunter’s Star Design Book.

This will be the 9th Inklingo Quilt Design Book!

The shape collections were getting longer and longer, and it seems likely that there will be more Hunter’s Star in the future, so . . .

. . . it makes sense to collect the sewing instructions and design notes a separate PDF download instead of repeating the same info in each shape collection.

Hunter’s Star is so easy with Inklingo shapes printed on fabric that we think you will have more fun designing exactly what you want.

FREE Inklingo Design Books

Inklingo Quilt Design Books are all free when you buy the related shapes.

However, there is usually one that is free even without buying the shapes. (How to get Inklingo Design Books for free.)

Right now the free one is for Drunkard’s Path. If you know anyone who would like to download it while it’s free, please let them know. Next week it will only be free if you buy the Drunkard’s Path shapes to print on fabric.

Hunter’s Star in Electric Quilt

Since this is taking a little longer than expected, Monkey thought it would be a good idea to distract you with new Electric Quilt project files for this wonderful, simple block.

You can download this file and start designing now, so you will be ready when the shapes are!

Hunter’s Star for EQ7

Don’t worry! If you don’t have Electric Quilt, I think you will love the worksheets and quilt layouts in the new design book, like this one.

If you are very ambitious, you can design with all three sizes! The info on the notecards in the EQ project files will help.

Hunter Star Quilts & Beyond – Jan Krentz

In the meantime, there are some spectacular Hunter Star designs in the gallery on Jan Krentz’s website. Jan knows I recommend her Hunter Star Quilts & Beyond book too. It includes excellent information about designing with these shapes.

I have cleared my schedule for the weekend and I promise another progress report on Monday. The sooner I get back to work, the sooner I can make you happy, okay?

I’m just going to pour one more cup of decaf, sweeten it with low-fat chocolate milk, and get back to work. See you later.
