Inklingo Online Resources Part 2

cover-SSIB

In Part 2 of this series, let’s have a look at the SSIB, the Smart Shopper’s Idea Book. It’s free.

The SSIB is intended to inspire you AND help you find what you want.

Even if you have been using Inklingo for ten years already, you might be surprised by how much is available.

It is under the Support and Goodies tab on the website. (You are on the blog now.)

1. CLICKABLE!
When you download and save the digital file (PDF), you can click on any green text to go directly to video and illustrations.

2. SEARCH
One of the great things about a digital file is that you can search and be sure to find every reference.

Some quilts and blocks have several names. How to find them all?  Use the wonderful search feature!

If you want to find all the stars: Open the SSIB, and search (Ctrl-F or Command-F on a Mac) for star, and you will find them. (Keep hitting Enter until you find them all.)

TIP  You don’t even have to type the whole word when you search! You will find several references for common words like hexagon, diamond, star, fussy, etc.

3. PRINT?
Before you print, please read page 2! I do not recommend printing all 208 pages! You will probably just want to choose a few pages for your Inklingo notebook.

Inklingo Combo Layout

I like to save my ink for printing on fabric. You could probably print the fabric for several quilts with the ink it would require to print the SSIB!!

FACEBOOK
Are you missing out on the latest news?

I post new photos and videos on Facebook almost every day. It is faster and easier than preparing something for the blog, especially since I’ve been in “summer mode.”

Inklingo loves anemones!

FACEBOOK VS THE BLOG—ARE YOU SUBSCRIBED?

When I post on Facebook, it is usually something about quilting but sometimes it is about something happening at Inklingo headquarters.

Please share photos of your Inklingo blocks too! You can email them to me or post directly to the Inklingo Facebook page.

Miss Marple - It's the knitting that does it.

You do NOT have to have a Facebook account to see what I post there if you go directly to
https://www.facebook.com/inklingo

Facebook only shows my photos to about 20% of the quilters who have “liked” the Inklingo Facebook Page, so you might want to visit directly every once in a while too.

It is more fun for everyone if you share your photos online!

Introduction to Inklingo

There are step by step instructions and a new VIDEO on the Welcome to Inklingo page on the website.

I have an idea for Part 3 of this series and there are new shapes coming too, so please stay tuned. You can subscribe (top of right sidebar), so you don’t miss anything.

The summer has flown past for me—time with friends, sewing on the porch, gardening and a kitchen renovation. I am sorry to see the summer ending!

See you for Part 3?
