Quiltmania

I am thrilled that Carol Veillon and the wonderful people at Quiltmania understand that quilters want to be able to make the beautiful designs in their magazine with Inklingo!

Quiltmania has been good to Inklingo since their first review in Issue 58: “It helps you prepare your pieces quickly and precisely before hand or machine sewing them.”

I could not resist Quiltmania even when it was not translated into English! The photography and the designs are stunning.

Quiltmania features wonderful artists, beautiful quilts from shows all over the world, and antique collections. They also give us a peek into quilter’s homes and unique quilt projects.

  1. Hi Wendy,
So far (less than 24 hours), 3 cm is the most popular size. It is the same size Willyne used. The seam allowances are still 0.25 inch, so it will be an easy adjustment (or no adjustment) for you. 3 cm is a nice size to hand piece because each seam just takes two loads of the needle. I use 3 loads on the 1.5 inch if I sew by hand, but I like the 1.5 inch size by machine too.
I think you will love Quiltmania. Every issue is inspiring!
    Hugs, Linda & Monkey

  2. Oops, I think there was a typo in my email address in the post I just
submitted. I corrected that so please re-email me your response to
my question re what size template you used in the photo (girls just want to have fun).

    thanks.

  3. I just linked over to Quiltmania and subscribed. I have purchased a couple of single copies in the past and loved it. Which size template did you use in the (girls just want to have fun) photo? Whatever it is, that is the size I would like to use.

  4. Eek!! I’m not ready to start a new quilt yet but when I am this could be it! I’m in the EU, though (in the UK), do I have to do something different to buy the shape collection now the VAT rules have changed?

  5. I’m curious, which is more popular…the inch combo or the cm combo? I understand that the book is in metric which is what we are supposed to be in Canada…but not sure if I want to start messing up my quilting brain too. I’ll have to make up my mind before the sale is off. Thanks for the QuiltMania link too, I’m going to have to get that one!

  6. Linda, Many many thanks indeed. This is amazing. A magnificent quilt that I have wanted to make since the book was out, but too daunting to trace each shape and make paper pieces. Now it is a possible reality through Inklingo! Fern

  7. Ooh, these shapes are just so enticing! I can’t wait to start playing – some fabrics have been picked out, freezer paper is ready. So now we get to sew this wonderful design and I hope you get to just relax!

  8. thank you for putting in the hard work on this design and thanks for letting us know about the special magazine offer, no one around here carries it so I just subscribed – thanks
