FEATHERED STAR

Ronda Jemtegaard of the Momma Made This blog surprised me with her wonderful Feathered Star designs, which she created in Electric Quilt software.
A Message from Ronda
Hello fellow and future Inklingo enthusiasts!
As a long time custom seamstress, it wasn't a big stretch when I began quilting in 1990, and began creating my own designs right away. Up until a few weeks ago, I have designed my patterns and templates using graph paper, math, rulers and plastic templates. I discovered Inklingo this past summer thanks to Cathi Godwin and her fabulous quilts on her equally fabulous blog. Using a computer for quilting seemed strange at first, but I love the accuracy and the ability to create complicated designs without having to draw up my own templates!
I've had nearly as much fun when I purchased EQ7 a few weeks ago. No longer am I testing fabric combinations using my kid's colored pencils and crayons on graph paper! With a few clicks here and there, I can take a layout I really like and try out all sorts of color combinations, some that I might never have considered before, but once I see it, there's another quilt added to my Bucket List!
Linda has kindly offered to display some of my designs, and I found it amusing that the first 2 she is showing are the Country Rose Feathered Star that I want to make for myself, and the bold Feathered Star Glow my kid (now at university) loves best. Between Inklingo and EQ7, my options are now wide open and I'm so more enthused about making quilts! (As if I wasn't before!)
