PDF DOWNLOAD - SHAPES + INSTRUCTIONS 33 MB
Print shapes on fabric with any ordinary Inkjet printer.
This Inklingo PDF includes 45° Diamonds, Quarter Square Triangles (QST), and squares. The bonus shapes are Pentagons, Half Square Triangles (HST), and Squares.
These shapes are the perfect size for 8 inch LeMoyne Star blocks. The sides of the 45º Diamond are 2.34 inches (finished size).
To see all the sizes of diamonds, triangles, squares and pentagons, please see the Index of Shapes.
Bonus Shapes make this collection even more versatile.
I also included two more shapes for the "Lucky Stars" quilt in Millefiori Quilts 3 by Willyne Hammerstein.
The original Lucky Stars quilt uses smaller stars, approximately 4.7 inches. The center of the original quilt (no borders) is approximately 37 x 51 inches. With this shape collection, it is approximately 64 x 88 inches.
There are no instructions for Lucky Stars in this shape collection, so you will need the Millefiori Quilts 3 book.
You have a choice of sizes including the 4.5 inch star in the FREE Diamond Triangle Square shape collection.

MANY DESIGN CHOICES
These are just a few of the extra blocks using these shapes.
PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS
The shapes are a perfect introduction for beginners. Make 9-patches, Sawtooth Squares, Hour Glass, and other blocks with these shapes if you aren't ready for an 8-pointed star.
Everything is easier with Inklingo—no measuring, no templates, no worries about straight grain, a line to cut on, a line to sew on—and there are detailed instructions for sewing and pressing on the All About Inklingo blog, so jump in! It's fun!
The shapes are larger than the ones in the free Inklingo Shape Collection, but the ideas and worksheets in that downloadable shape collection are perfect for this too.
My Mistake! I probably shouldn't have named this series of shape collections "LeMoyne Star" because that is just the tip of the iceberg. Please don't limit yourself to a few stars.
Love the lines. Quilt more!
In the 5th LIVE Facebook Video, I demonstrate a wonderful method of sewing 8-pointed stars by machine.
Please see the All About Inklingo blog for lessons about "No Waste Fussy Cutting" and how to sew and press LeMoyne Stars by hand and by machine. One-page guide
